Managing Bipolar-The Storm Inside

Managing Bipolar disorders can seem impossible, especially if you’re trying to do it by yourself. At Life & Wellness Counseling and Consulting, PLLC, we get it and want to you to know that you don’t have to figure this out alone. Our support group for people who suffer from Bipolar disorder tackles the highs and lows, the ins and outs, everything from depressive/manic episodes, to medication, to employment, to relationships, to thoughts of suicide. Our experienced facilitators help group members establish a sense of togetherness, accountability, and support as they navigate this season of life together.

 

When: October 10th–November 14th every Wednesday from 5:30pm – 7pm

 

Where: Office

 

Demographic: Adults (23 – 65)

 

Seats Available: 7

 

Prerequisites: Intake/Clinical Assessment

 

Cost: $135 for Clinical Assessment / $80 per group session

Insurances Accepted: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Magellen, Medicaid, United Behavioral Health  

 

Additional Information: Insurance will be accepted for all Clinical Assessments for any group participant with accepted insurance coverage. Group participants not participating in individual therapy, will be responsible for group fees.

School Advocacy and Support

School 2

School advocacy and supportive services are for parents of students who have specialized educational and emotional needs and plans. This service is designed to ensure that students and parents receive the best academic opportunities and the most valuable experiences.

School Advocacy and Support services will help parents to:

  • Participate in the development of educational plans and identifying the most appropriate academic tract for their child

  • Gain and understand information about individualized plans to address the academic and emotional needs of students

  • Increase knowledge of student and parental rights regarding access to testing, classroom accommodations, state laws and guidelines

Education Consultant

Angela Cooper, M.Ed., NBCT

​Angela Cooper serves as education consultant and support for Life & Wellness Counseling and Consulting, PLLC. Angela is a Nationally Certified Exceptional Needs Specialist who currently supports teachers in literacy instruction and best practices. Angela earned her M.Ed. from Cambridge College in Boston MA and has completed countless hours of professional development in literacy and special education.

Clinical Supervision

We now offer clinical supervision for Licensed Professional Counselor Associates, provided by Venita Belton, LPCS. Please contact us for additional information or to inquire about availability.
